Ramesh Kumar grew up in Chennai, where he began learning the coffee trade from his father. As a young man, he sometimes travelled with truck drivers carrying coffee loads, getting an early look at the day-to-day business. Over time, he learnt enough to take his own first steps in the trade.
Building his own
in Coorg.
He later moved to Coorg and started from scratch. In 2000, he established Shreyas Commodities in Kushalnagar, building on what he had learnt and gaining experience as he ran the business.
More than two decades later, Shreyas Commodities is stronger than ever. Ramesh has built the business from very little into an established name in the coffee trade, bringing suppliers and commercial buyers together with the experience he has gained over the years.
